A short Biography.

This was me four years ago after 30 years experience as a

Glassmaker. Unfortunately the factory closed  with the loss of over 100 jobs, my life was to take

    a new direction.

My interest in wildlife and photography tied up quite well so I decided to enrol on a two year

Foundation Degree for Photography course through The City of Sunderland College.  Of course I

was expected to photograph more than just wildlife, I was introduced to 35mm and Medium

Format photography, liquid emultion, cyanotype, and photogram printing as well as pinhole

camera making, Digital photography and Photoshop techniques and website building.

I even put together an 80 page photodocumentary book.

In short I was given a well rounded introduction by  three excellent tutors.

To be a good glassmaker you need some core skills and a lot of determination, I have found

the same is true of photography.

Apart from wildlife and photography, I enjoy country walks and snooker.
